Which book formats can you prepare?
Print-ready PDF, Kindle KPF, EPUB, and downloadable PDF are available. The right combination depends on where you plan to publish and how readers will use the book.
What files should I send for a text-based book?
Please provide the manuscript in DOC, DOCX, or an editable PDF. Images should normally be supplied as high-resolution JPG or PNG files, ideally at 300 dpi for print.
Do you format children’s books, cookbooks, poetry, and image-rich books?
Yes. Image-rich and children’s books have page-based pricing. Poetry, recipe books, and unusually complex layouts are reviewed before a quote because their production needs vary widely.
How long does book formatting take?
Most book-formatting projects take approximately 2–5 days after the final files and project specifications are received. Complex or unusually long books may require more time.
Can you extend an existing front cover into a full print cover?
Yes. An existing front cover can be extended with a spine and back cover. Hardcover jacket flaps, resizing, audiobook covers, and 3D mockups are also available.
Do you provide illustrations or stock photography?
No. Clients supply the licensed image materials used in book interiors and covers. Children’s-book illustration and original photography are not included in the service.
Can you work from an InDesign or INDD file?
No. For text-based formatting, provide DOC, DOCX, or editable PDF files. Finished images can be supplied as high-resolution JPG or PNG files.
Can you edit a scanned PDF?
Often, yes, but scanned files must be checked first. Please send project details before ordering so compatibility and the required cleanup can be assessed.
Do you upload finished files to publishing platforms?
Upload support can be quoted separately. Tell me which printer or publishing platform you plan to use so the project can be prepared around its specifications.
How are projects paid for and delivered?
A $20 minimum project fee applies to direct website enquiries. As a Hungarian KATA sole proprietor, I can accept direct commissions only from private individuals who provide a billing address. Direct projects are paid upfront through PayPal or Wise, and completed files are delivered through Dropbox. Fiverr ordering remains available for clients who prefer that platform.
Do you provide book marketing or promotion advice?
No. Consultation focuses on formatting, production files, and publishing preparation—not advertising, promotion, or marketing campaigns.
Will you modify invoices or legal documents?
No. Sapphire Guardian does not alter invoices or other documents where modification could constitute forgery, fraud, or misrepresentation.
